I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!
In March Suzy Lou showed up in a neighborhood she had never been seen there before, she was not wearing a collar. A neighbor put an ad in the paper and printed flyers that she posted at the Big Snake Bridge but, of course, no one responded. We think shes mostly Bassett Hound because she has short legs and a long body her shoulders are broad and her legs are built just like a Bassett.
Suzy Lou was taken to the vet on Friday, March 30th, and Dr. Free determined that shes approx. four months old so he vaccinated her (DHLPP and Rabies). He did a fecal float and she had hookworms. She was given Interceptor that day and two weeks later, so shes free of hookworms and is ready to start a monthly regimen of Interceptor or Heart Guard so she wont get heartworms. April 12th she went back to Dr. Free and she was spayed. Her stitches will come out in ten days.
Suzy Lou is a very smart little puppy! Shes already crate trained and has had no accidents in the house! (Thats pretty amazing!) Shes quite lively a very healthy pup!
Please call to make an appointment to see her, or look for our next Adopt A Pet date on our home page. Updated April 13.
Pets For Life Rescue has decided as a group not to ship our pets, the prospective owners must be able to come see the pets in person. There is also an application to be approved.
