Welcome to PAWFirst!

Alva/Allie is a terrier mix, maybe scottish terrier, about 6 months old. She was found in Alva by a college student, who tried to find her owner, but no one claimed her. Allie is a little skiddish, but she is very sweet once she knows she can trust. She needs a special home where she can get a lot of love and patience with her on trusting people.

Allie has been tested for worms and heartworms and is negative, and has been started on heartworm prevention. She did have tapeworms, and was treated for that. Allie has had her first puppy shots and rabies, and weighs about 17 pounds.

She seems to be crate and house trained, and good with other dogs. She does run from toddlers right now, but with a lot of patience she is young enough that she could get used to children. Allie will be spayed soon, so she will be able to go to her new home as soon as she has her stitches out.

Pets For Life Rescue has decided as a group not to ship our pets, the prospective owners must be able to come see the pets in person. There is also an application to be approved.
