I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!
"Joe" is a Dachshund that we found Saturday evening April 14, on Joe Street. He was not wearing a collar, and seems to be friendly.
Update April 24: No one claimed Joe, so he has now gone to the vet and had shots, including Rabies, and he's scheduled for neuter April 30. He does have the hereditary Demodectic Mange (Demodex), it is NOT contagious to people or other pets. He was dipped today April 24, and will need another dip in a few weeks.
Joe is a neat little dog, about 1 1/2 years old, does pretty good with housetraining as long as there aren't other dogs around, especially girls. He seems good with kids, and pets. Joe does ok in a crate, he won't mess, but he will wine for someone to let him out because he loves to sit on someone's lap.
Joe likes to "sit up and beg", he can hold that position for a long time, especially if he thinks you will give him a treat. He loves to "go bye bye" in the car. He will walk on a leash, but loves to run in the yard.
Joe is now neutered.
Won't you let Joe be your lap dog?
Please call to make an appointment to see him, or look for our next Adopt A Pet date on our Petfinder home page. Updated April 30.
Pets For Life Rescue has decided as a group not to ship our pets, the prospective owners must be able to come see the pets in person. There is also an application to be approved.
