Description:

Update: Little Girl has found her home. She has attached to her foster family that she cannot go anywhere. There is a 12 year old who cannot imagine life without her by his side. We are continuously working with Little Girl and maybe, one day, she will be comfortable around the man of the house

Update 7/18/2008 Little Girl is very afraid of certain men. Even the male adult in her foster home is finding it very hard to win her trust. Sadly, this is a case of when a dog's 'spirit' has been broken. She is full of love but just cannot find it in her heart to trust him. Her ear was cut and bleeding when she first came into Pets For Life Rescue. The vet said it did not appear to be a normal injury or accident. Who knows what happened. She gets along perfectly with everyone besides the adult male in her foster family. If you have experience in this type of behavior, please contact me. (580) 491-2337.

****update 10/20****She made it! We honestly didn't believe she would pull through one night but she did (thanks to early diagnosis and treatment!! ) She has gotten over the tick disease with the help of antibiotics and lots of TLC!! Little Girl has bonded very close to her foster family ( and we absolutely love her ) but we know her 'forever home' is still out there waiting for her.

Little Girl is a Blue Heeler, possibly mix. She was adopted from Animal Control when she was a few months old, but they couldn't take care of her anymore, so they had to surrender her.

Little Girl is very shy, so she needs someone who has a lot of time and attention to give to her. She is very sweet, she just takes a little more time of showing it. Little Girl is good with other dogs, but she has not been around cats that we know of. She also seems to be afraid of some men.

Little Girl is up to date with her shots and spayed. Her adoption fee is $100. She is going to be an inside dog because that is what she has become used to. She deserves that after such a rough start.

Please call to make an appointment to meet her.

Pets For Life Rescue has decided as a group not to ship our pets, the prospective owners must be able to come see the pets in person.
