We prefer emails as our method of corresponding. We get many phone calls each day (about animals that need help and families who want to adopt). We simply cannot keep up with our calls. It is much easier for us to respond to emails when we have free time (often these are hours where most people are asleep). Sammy is a male Maltese that was found very matted. He even had an injury from a sticker burr in his paw that got infected. We are putting on a photo of what he looked like before the groomer had to shave him to get all the matts off that were pulling his skin.
His adoption fee is free.
Sammy needs special attention and love, he is very timid. We think he must have been an outside only dog, because when he goes out for potty breaks, he has to be picked up to come back in the house. He just needs patience for him to get used to being a loved pet that can stay in the house. And he will eventually learn to be house trained.
Sammy tested negative for heartworms, had all his shots, and has been neutered. He took antibiotics for the infection in his paw, that has now cleared up and his paw is healed.
All of our pets are fostered in family homes. please read our guidelines carefully. If the animal is listed on our site, it is still available. We will update our listings as soon as the animal has found a home.
